unboxing videos and nunvember status update
so right now i am having internet connection issues but once i get back on there air here are the plans for unboxing and nunvember content
so as i get more stuff painted i am that much closer to getting more unboxing videos finished and uploaded so i figure why not share the current content plans for over on the channel and to a degree for over here.
so basicly i have a rule where unless the model is going to be heavily kitbashed it needs to be painted to be shown off in a painted state at the end of the unboxing video. as you can imagine this slows things down a lot. hopefully i can make all my plans happen
okay so all of this is subject to change partly because my housing is emergency housing/ couch surfing right now. but here is the plans and goals
so first up probably coming up late this month and october we have:
– bulgryn kit: video incoming soon
– cadian command squad kit: the priming is basically done and my colour scheme for them is pretty straight forward
– cadian heavy weapons squad:
I need to locate their box (not sure if I left it in storage or if I have it with me
– Imperial knight preceptor:
i have had this sitting aside since i got it for myself last year and well now is the time i think
third party unboxings
– victoria miniatures sledgehammer bfg: so this kit has been a work in progress for ages in no small part due to my not being the best at working with resin and simply got intimidated by working with the replacement parts that aren’t entirely co-operating because i am being to tentative with heat. i also keep wanting to set up an urban ruins diorama to go with them but again keep intimidating myself out of it
– Victoria Miniatures Ursula Chenkova, Svargan Colonel 2020
turns out i scored it with the rausenburg squad because i brought their 2 squads bundle on ebay
– Victoria Miniatures 10 Man Rausenburg Squad (so this one basically is on hold till I get it from my friend who is acting as a po box for me but is outside my travel range with lockdown
nunvember/ sisters themed unboxing:
so because things take ages to paint up to my standard and I also overcomplicate things (wanting to do custom bases and intimidating myself things have been much slower than I would like)
– sisters of battle mortifiers/penitent engines unboxing:
so functionally these are basically complete on a painting front apart from the smoke stacks. these will be the first unboxing up in november
– immolator (oop kit) unboxing and review
so this is going to be an updated version of a video from a few years ago. since I never showed off the finished model in that video. admittedly the finished model doesn’t have most of the model’s accessories attached to it but ah well i might as well use it any way once i have finished updating the paint job
– exorcist unboxing:
so I need to finish some of the painting on details because it has too f***ing many details on it
– cannoness main kit
so the paint job progresses on the kit and it will be in an unboxing soon though given i recorded part of the unboxing before we got the 2021 codex i have had to add overlaid text into it
– arco flagrants:
so I have an interesting dilemma with them. thanks to how much i have moved house they have taken a lot of damage despite being functionally painted (haven’t done custom bases yet) and honestly i am not sure if i am going to just push on and go “here is what happens when you don’t store/transport them right” or if i am just going to go and buy a new box for them
– serephim:
so they are now primed and will be painted up in time. I also am going to be doing a video on making custom purity seal flight stands for them using greenstuff and pining wire
– a problem of repentia/ repentia multiple kits review:
so basically i had planned on doing an unboxing on repentia both the limited ed set’s ones and the main kit but they got mixed up and parts got lost during multiple house moves so what I am going to do is just share them all in one video and share my thoughts on the sculpts and kits as a mass review. the trouble with doing repentia is i have a set line of thought with their paintjob and i keep intimidating myself out of painting them so i might just go battle ready standard instead of ideal scheme

so i haven’t even taken her out of her box yet sadly. i have been wanting to get other projects out of the way first. hopefully i can get her finished in time to put her up in november. i had wanted this model since 2016 but it wasn’t till last year that i would get her. heck i am tempted to add her to my birthday box for this year

damn do i hate the release agent that was on this model

so after admiring these for ages I bought them at the start of the year then everything went belly up for me and I still haven’t taken them out of their bags. hopefully I can get them sorted in time to do stuff with them
– shield wolf sisters of faith unboxing:
so last year I bought a decent order of sisters of faith infantry (well two boxes of them) but in the chaos of everything it seems I have lost the footage I recorded of the unboxing. So i order a new box which has now arrived and will allow me to show off the completed models with the packaging they come in which i actually throw out as it is cardboard that has traveled the world and is likely full of germs. the box has arrived so i will be recording the video to upload it during november
ASPIRATIONAL UNBOXING I DOUBT I CAN AFFORD TO BUY TO DO:
so there are a few kits I would love to unbox do things with but i doubt i can afford to do it for november in part because my priorities with money are elsewhere but here they are incase anyone wants to contribute them otherwise it might be next november or who knows when that they happen:
– sister of battle combat patrol (i have talked about the limited ed box enough in the past and about the combat patrol without having it that i want it partly for review purposes partly for later conversion build purposes and partly for doing a video on where to start with collecting the army and how to collect the army on a budget) + conversions using the kit are planned to be: monopose sisters coverted to sacrosants conversion build, outfitting your combat patrol serephim with special weapons/ build guide
– sisters of battle celestian sacrosants. they look amazing and honestly are what i wanted in terms of celestians for the most part. i also want to do a build where i show how to do the entire squad’s maces as braziers
– moren vahl: so while i do want to scratch build my own i honestly don’t know what decade that would happen in with how i am at the moment so i want the kit
– sister of battle paragon warsuits: i still think they are overly expensive but i think most of the range is overly expensive
– dogmata: both for unboxing and to to a video on how to repose it (and what parts you need)
nunvember tutorials:
– cobblestone bases for miniatures
– cobblestone rubble base tutorial (featuring the cannoness kit
– purity seal flying stand base tutorial
– stained glass shields tutorial (currently short of 3 or four of the colours of contrast paint I need)
conversion build tutorials:
– reposing retributors: (the old photo is alot darker than would be helpful) basicly most of the video was recorded last year but i hadn’t finished the models’ paint jobs
– sisters battle tank/ marines predator kitbash tutorial: so back in march i did an unboxing on the space marine predator kit which I had bought with the express purpose of making into a castigator. once hobby stores are open again in my state and i can buy styrene rods and brass rods in person i will get on with this conversion build! thinking the turret needs to have details on it reminicant of the sides of the exorcist but instead using skulls and spare helmets

– conversion building an exorcist using the metal kit parts:
so last year I bought someone’s surplus metal exorcist parts with the intention of conversion building an exorcist and well the build is going to happen. wow am I going to have to use a lot of varnish during this build to keep the paint intact on the metal parts. no I won’t be wrecking the front plate to mount the heavy bolter. i have other plans for the heavy bolter’s placement. here is a low res pic of the exoricst’s metal parts from the listing. i kind of wish i’d actually saved the proper listing photo
– conversion building an immolator/updating an older immolator conversion build
so back before I started conversion building sisters of battle infantry I converted an immolator and would later convert a partner for it. but those conversions are looking pretty tired so I think it is time to update them to look a heck of a lot better (and mount a heavy bolter
– ? conversion building sisters sacrosanct from monopose sisters:
so i have the axes and spear on the way to do this build but lack the base squad and spare bolt pistols (+ special pistol) for the build and i do not know if my november budget will allow it

I promised this build back in 2019 and I still aim to do it
– sisters shrine guardians: helberd and shield troops converted using shield wolf miniatures as a base model and using a stained glass style shield. lots of sculpting will be involved
– sisters shrine paladins: I will be making veteran versions of the sisters of faith that will look similar to what i plan to do with the shrine guardians
nunvember cosplay content plan:
so on top of trying to set up skyrim stuff for the aniversery of that game i will be posting sister of battle themed cosplay videos
– sister of battle cosplay armour build video
so I still need to make a new backpack and a pair of shin plates (and maybe boot covers) and some other details
– oversized character chainsword build log (see above for pic)
I am gradually getting the painting done on this prop now that warm weather seems to be returning slowly
– building a bolt pistol with an old template build log
so i started this project last year then left off it after messing up badly on one of the pistols (there was originally going to be two pistols) but it is about time i had a bolt pistol again
– plasma and inferno pistols build log:
so I am combining the build logs on these as there really isn’t many pictures for the inferno pistol and i really want to motivate myself to finish my plasma pistol
– restoring a broken flamer prop build log
so my old flamer suffered some bad battle damage a few years back and it is about time I rebuilt it. after the below photo was taken i did strip it down a fair bit so as to make repairing it easier
NUNVEMBER TERRAIN TUTORIALS:

more on this build in a later post as i am still fleshing out the design digitally before I start drafting plans

basically because the main builds of the month will take up the most time to make I will be doing a smaller terrain tutorial as a backup incase I can’t get the fortress build done in time
